Where it began...
I have had a passion for makeup for as long as I can remember. I was always the one in school with the clumpy spider lashes and foundation lips (thank god for makeup evolution!).
After having my first child in 2013 and moving from Sussex to Cornwall with my partner Ben, I had ALOT of time on my hands! I started watching YouTube tutorials and that is where my journey began...
I completed a Level 2 Beauty Therapy course in 2014 and went on to work for Benefit Cosmetics. 2 years later I found my self applying for MAC Cosmetics and to my surprise, I got the job! Working at MAC was a dream come true. The career opportunities were endless and the training was brilliant. I received continuous training whilst working for MAC, not only in product knowledge, skin types, working on different skin tones & trends but also Bridal Makeup. I was also lucky enough to become a MAC Social Media ambassador, complete all my certifications and was the product specialist for our store.
During my time working for MAC and getting my business pages up and running I made some loyal clients who were asking me to do their makeup outside of work, to which I did. My portfolio starting growing, as did my confidence and quickly came a loyal clientele. Wedding bookings started coming in and before I knew it I was finishing work at MAC then heading to my own clients.
I soon fell pregnant with my youngest son and was busier then ever before working two jobs. I knew I had to take the leap and follow my dreams and go freelance solely, and so I did and I have never looked back!
During my time being self employed, I have held two sell out Makeup Masterclasses with over 80 ladies attending, attended two wedding fayres to showcase my work and attended my first styled shoot with some impeccable suppliers in the industry. I have trained with some iconic Makeup Artists and at the end of 2019 was so proud to have made it as a Finalist in the South West Wedding awards.
Lastly, I have just completed my training for Digital Machine Hair Stroke Brows with Olivia at Brow & Blade in Manchester which I am super excited about. Semi Permanent Makeup is something I have always wanted to do alongside and I am so pleased I can now offer this amazing new treatment.
I never imaged my business taking off as it has and am forever grateful for every single lady to walk through my door and support me, (I still do a happy dance with every booking, 5 years later!).
Thankyou to every single one of my previous and upcoming clients. You have made my dreams come true.
